New hope for deadly brain infection: experimental combo targets TB meningitis
NCT ID NCT07227779
Summary
This study aims to see if a new combination of antibiotics (BPaLMZ) works better than the current standard treatment for tuberculous meningitis, a serious brain infection. It will involve 240 adults with HIV who have this condition. Researchers will compare how long people live and their ability to function after receiving the new treatment versus the standard one.
