New combo therapy tested to boost stomach cancer fight before surgery
NCT ID NCT07059299
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing whether combining a newer immunotherapy drug (tislelizumab) with standard chemotherapy (FLOT) is safe and tolerable when given before surgery for certain stomach and esophagus cancers. The goal is to see if giving more chemotherapy before surgery, instead of splitting it before and after, is a better approach for patients who often struggle with post-surgery treatment. This study will enroll 18 adults with locally advanced but removable cancer to check for safety and early signs of effectiveness.
