Radiation boost tested to shrink stomach tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT07182565

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a shorter, more intense course of radiation to immunotherapy and chemotherapy before surgery is safe and more effective for people with a type of cancer where the stomach meets the esophagus. The goal is to see if this combination can completely eliminate the cancer cells before the tumor is surgically removed. Researchers will enroll 84 adults with this specific, locally advanced but removable cancer who haven't had prior treatment.
