Wrist procedure tested to fix leg artery blockages
NCT ID NCT05372952
Summary
This small study tested a new metal stent designed to open blocked arteries in the pelvis that supply blood to the legs. Doctors placed the stent through an artery in the wrist instead of the groin to see if it was safe and practical. The main goals were to check for complications from the wrist access and see if the stent could be successfully delivered to the blockage.
