Doctors test new transplant method to reduce complications
NCT ID NCT06034535
Summary
This trial is testing a new way to perform stem cell transplants for patients with serious blood diseases who need a transplant but don't have a perfectly matched donor. Doctors will use a special process to filter certain cells from the donor's blood before the transplant, hoping to reduce dangerous complications like graft-versus-host disease while still fighting the patient's disease. The main goal is to see if patients can survive one year after the transplant without their body rejecting the new cells or developing severe complications.
