Summary
This study tested a new rapid test called SPOTFIRE ST in urgent care clinics. The test checks for multiple causes of sore throat, including bacteria and viruses, in about 25 minutes. Researchers wanted to see how well it worked, if it helped doctors prescribe the right medicines, and if patients and doctors liked using it.
