Scented nose plugs: a simpler fix for Post-Virus smell loss?

NCT ID NCT06142565

Summary

This study tested a new, simpler method to help people regain their sense of smell after a viral infection like COVID-19. Researchers compared standard smell training, which requires active sniffing, to a new method using scented nose plugs worn passively. The goal was to see if the nose plugs were easier to stick with and more effective at improving smell, quality of life, and well-being over two months of at-home treatment.
