Smart knee study aims to improve life for amputees

NCT ID NCT05523349

Summary

This study tested a new computer-controlled prosthetic knee to see if it works better than existing smart knees. Fourteen people with above-knee amputations tried the new knee for three weeks and compared it to their usual device. Researchers measured how satisfied people felt when walking downstairs and doing other daily activities.
