Zap your snoring away? new patch trial offers hope for CPAP strugglers
NCT ID NCT07343362
Summary
This UK trial is testing a new device for people with obstructive sleep apnea who can't tolerate the standard CPAP machine. The device is a small, reusable skin patch that delivers gentle electrical pulses to the throat muscles during sleep to help keep the airway open. Researchers will compare this new treatment against continued CPAP use over three months to see if it effectively controls sleep apnea and is comfortable for nightly use at home.
