Scientists propose new sleep apnea categories to predict health risks

Summary
This study aims to test a new system for classifying obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) based on how sleepy patients feel and their heart health scores. Researchers will follow 1,800 newly diagnosed adults with OSA to see if this new classification helps predict their long-term health improvements. The study is observational, meaning it will monitor patients' symptoms and health over time but does not test a new treatment.
