New monitor could stop fluid overload from harming kidneys in shock patients
NCT ID NCT07481097
Summary
This study is testing a new method to guide treatment for adults with septic shock, a life-threatening infection. The goal is to see if using a special arm cuff to measure blood flow pressure, along with a kidney ultrasound, can help doctors give the right amount of fluids and medications to prevent kidney damage. Researchers will compare this new approach to standard care in 100 patients.
