New scan could sharpen aim of radiation therapy for childhood cancers

NCT ID NCT04040088

Summary

This study is testing a new type of imaging scan to see if it can better identify and map pediatric neuroendocrine tumors, which are rare cancers. Researchers want to know if this new scan helps doctors more precisely target radiation therapy compared to the standard scan currently used. The study involves up to 20 children and young adults with high-risk forms of these tumors.
