New scan could sharpen picture of childhood cancer

NCT ID NCT06858501

Summary

This study aims to see if a new type of imaging scan, called 18F-MFBG PET, is as good as the current standard scan (123I-MIBG) at finding and measuring tumors in children with newly diagnosed, high-risk neuroblastoma. About 84 participants will receive both types of scans during their treatment to compare the results. The goal is to improve how doctors see the cancer and assess if treatment is working.
