Summary
This study was the first time a new combination vaccine was tested in people. It aims to prevent two serious types of Salmonella infection: invasive nontyphoidal Salmonella (iNTS) and typhoid fever. Researchers gave the vaccine to 155 healthy adults in Europe and Africa to check if it was safe and if it triggered a protective immune response.
