Summary
This study is testing a new combination of treatments given before surgery for a specific type of rectal cancer. It aims to shrink the tumor as much as possible to improve the chance of curing the cancer and preserving the patient's anus. The treatment involves a short course of radiation, chemotherapy, and two other drugs (an immunotherapy and a targeted therapy).
