Targeted radiation combo aims to shrink rectal tumors with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT07161115
Summary
This study is testing a new combination treatment for rectal cancer that has not spread to distant parts of the body. Before surgery, patients will receive a more focused form of radiation, along with chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug, to try to shrink the tumor. The goal is to see if this approach is as effective as standard radiation but causes fewer side effects and complications.
