One-Shot radiation: new tech targets cancer pain in bones
NCT ID NCT06549478
Summary
This study is testing a new, single-dose radiation treatment for people with painful cancer that has spread to their bones. The new method, called biology-guided radiation therapy (BgRT), uses a PET scan signal to guide the radiation beam in real-time to the most active parts of the tumor. Researchers want to see if this one-time treatment is safe and effective at reducing pain and improving quality of life for up to 24 participants.
