New balloon could make heart valve surgery safer

Summary
This study tests a new balloon device used during a heart valve replacement procedure called TAVI. The balloon helps open the valve before and after the new valve is placed. Researchers want to see if using this balloon reduces the chance of heart rhythm problems after the procedure. About 93 people with severe aortic stenosis will take part and be followed for up to 7 days.
