Could recalling happy memories ease PTSD?

NCT ID NCT05523453

Summary

This study tested a new therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that focuses on recalling and describing positive memories, rather than just trauma memories. 70 adults with PTSD were randomly assigned to try this new technique or receive standard supportive counseling. The goal was to see if focusing on positive memories could reduce PTSD symptoms and related stress, and to gather feedback to improve the therapy.
