Could seeing a physio first ease arthritis pain and ease doctor wait times?

NCT ID NCT06358521

Summary

This study is testing a new way to manage hip and knee osteoarthritis pain. It compares whether having a physiotherapist as the first point of contact in a primary care team is better than the usual doctor-led care. The goal is to see if this approach improves patients' function and pain, while also reducing strain on the healthcare system. Over 700 adults with hip or knee pain are participating across Canada.
