New scan lights up hidden prostate cancer for doctors
NCT ID NCT06235099
Summary
This study tested a new type of medical scan to better find prostate cancer that has returned after initial surgery or radiation. About 235 men whose blood tests showed their cancer might be back received an injection of a special tracer and then had a PET/CT scan. The goal was to see how accurately this new scan could pinpoint where the cancer had come back, helping doctors plan the next steps in treatment.
