New scan aims to pinpoint hidden prostate cancer comeback

NCT ID NCT04186845

Summary

This study tested a new type of PET scan designed to find prostate cancer that has returned after initial treatment. It involved 391 men whose blood tests showed rising PSA levels, suggesting the cancer might be back. The main goal was to see how accurately and safely this new scan could locate the recurring cancer to help guide further treatment.
