New shot for babies aims to beat dangerous pneumonia
NCT ID NCT07017777
Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine designed to protect infants from serious bacterial infections like pneumonia and meningitis. About 600 healthy babies in Thailand, starting at 6 weeks old, will receive either the new vaccine or an existing one to compare how well they work and how safe they are. Researchers will measure the babies' immune responses and track any side effects for a month after each shot.
