Scientists test vaccines to fight newly discovered Pneumonia-Causing bacteria
NCT ID NCT07135453
Summary
This study aims to see if two different pneumococcal vaccines can create antibodies that effectively kill newly discovered and related strains of bacteria that cause pneumonia and other infections. Researchers will give the vaccines to 70 healthy adults who have never received a pneumococcal vaccine before. They will measure the levels of protective antibodies in the blood and test how well those antibodies can kill the target bacteria.
