Head-to-Head: new scan challenges standard MRI for prostate cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07209878

Summary

This study aims to see if a new type of PET scan is as good as or better than the standard MRI scan at finding prostate cancer. It will involve 100 men who are newly diagnosed and scheduled for surgery to remove their prostate. Researchers will compare how accurately each scan finds the cancer by checking the results against the actual tissue removed during surgery.
