Double-Tracer PET scan aims to sharpen cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07178587

Summary

This study is testing a new imaging method called 'multiplexed PET' to see if it can better find and map out two types of cancer: liver cancer (HCC) and certain digestive tract tumors (GEP-NETs). Instead of needing two separate scans, this method uses two different radioactive tracers in one session to get more complete information about the tumors. The goal is to see if this combined scan is safe, works well, and provides clearer pictures to help doctors plan treatment for the 28 adult participants.
