New scan aims to spot deadly pancreatic cancer sooner
NCT ID NCT06659705
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan called FAPI PET to see if it can detect the return or spread of pancreatic cancer earlier than current standard scans like CT or MRI. It involves 35 patients who have already been diagnosed with non-metastatic pancreatic cancer and are part of another ongoing study. Participants will receive the new FAPI PET scan at several points during their treatment to compare its accuracy against traditional imaging.
