New scan aims to pinpoint elusive cause of hormone disorder
NCT ID NCT07350707
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to help doctors better diagnose and locate the source of Cushing's syndrome, a condition caused by too much of the stress hormone cortisol. Researchers will see if this scan, which targets a specific protein, is better than current methods at telling apart different types of the syndrome and finding hard-to-locate tumors. The study will involve 160 people in China who have or are suspected of having Cushing's syndrome.
