New scan aims to spot hidden cancer spread in the gut
NCT ID NCT07219238
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan to see if it can better detect cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen (peritoneal carcinomatosis) in patients with certain cancers. About 175 adults with colorectal, gastric, ovarian, or pancreatic cancer who are suspected of having this spread will receive the new scan. The main goal is to see if this new scan is more accurate than current standard imaging methods.
