New scan could spot hidden damage in rare autoimmune disease

NCT ID NCT07151521

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can better detect lung and kidney damage in people with ANCA-associated vasculitis, a rare autoimmune disease. Researchers will use a special tracer called 68Ga-FAPI during the scan to look for active disease throughout the body. The goal is to see if this scan provides clearer information to help doctors personalize treatment plans for patients.
