New scan aims to spot liver scarring earlier
NCT ID NCT06252610
Summary
This study is testing a new type of combined PET/MRI scan to see if it can better detect and measure scarring (fibrosis) in the bile ducts of people with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Researchers will compare the new scan results to a standard liver stiffness test (FibroScan) in 10 participants. The goal is to improve non-invasive diagnosis and monitoring of this liver disease.
