Mayo clinic tests 'Smart' scan to illuminate hidden pancreatic tumors
NCT ID NCT05518903
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan to see if it can create clearer pictures of pancreatic cancer. The scan uses a special tracer that attaches to specific cells found in and around tumors. Researchers hope this method will help doctors better diagnose and plan treatment for patients with early-stage pancreatic cancer.
