New Nerve-Supporting combo challenges standard pain pill for 'Suicide Disease'
NCT ID NCT07304453
Summary
This study tested if a new combination of a nerve-supporting supplement (Nucleo CMP) and a B-vitamin complex (Neurorubine) could provide better and longer-lasting pain control for trigeminal neuralgia, a severe facial pain condition, compared to the standard medication carbamazepine. In this small, completed trial, 38 patients were randomly assigned to receive either the standard drug or the new combination for 6-9 weeks. The main goal was to see which treatment reduced pain more during treatment and, importantly, if the pain stayed away longer after stopping the medication.
