New drug tested to ease Post-Surgery pain

NCT ID NCT06423703

Summary

This study tested whether a new drug called cebranopadol is safe and effective for reducing moderate to severe pain after bunion surgery. It compared the new drug to a placebo (a dummy pill) and an active pain medication in 240 people who had the surgery. The main goal was to see if the new drug provided better pain relief and reduced the need for other painkillers like oxycodone.
