New pill aims to tame Post-Surgery pain

NCT ID NCT06602271

Summary

This study is testing a new, long-acting pain medication called PF614 for people recovering from a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). Researchers want to see if it works better than a placebo (a pill with no medicine) at controlling moderate to severe pain after surgery. About 320 participants will take the study pills before and after their procedure while staying in a clinic for monitoring.
