New drug targets hidden pain after surgery

NCT ID NCT07246785

Summary

This study is testing a new pain medication called anrikefon for people recovering from laparoscopic (keyhole) abdominal surgery. Researchers want to see if this drug, given through a patient-controlled pump, can better relieve the internal pain that often goes undertreated after these procedures. The trial will compare anrikefon to standard pain control methods in 140 patients to find the best dose and see if it's effective.
