New drug aims to ease pain without slowing gut after spine surgery
NCT ID NCT07307495
Summary
This study is testing a new pain medication called oliceridine for patients recovering from lower back surgery. Researchers want to see if it controls pain as well as morphine but causes fewer side effects like constipation and slowed digestion. The goal is to help patients feel better and get their digestive system working normally again sooner after their operation.
