New nerve block could offer safer pain relief after chest surgery
NCT ID NCT07330479
Summary
This study tested a new type of nerve block to see if it could better control pain after minimally invasive chest surgery. Researchers compared the new ultrasound-guided nerve block to standard morphine injections in 60 patients. The goal was to see if the block reduced pain scores and the need for strong opioid painkillers after surgery.
