New back surgery pain block could slash opioid use

NCT ID NCT07370428

Summary

This study is testing a new, targeted nerve block to manage pain after major spinal fusion surgery. Researchers will give the ultrasound-guided block to some patients to see if it reduces their need for opioid painkillers and helps them recover faster. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to control severe post-surgery pain.
