Scientists test 'Senolytic' drugs to fight bone aging

NCT ID NCT06018467

Summary

This study is testing whether two different drug combinations can safely slow down bone loss in older adults with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Researchers are comparing a 'senolytic' drug pair (dasatinib and quercetin) taken in cycles, a daily antioxidant (nicotinamide riboside), and no treatment. The goal is to see if targeting aging cells in bones can be a new way to manage age-related bone weakening.
