Light-Based device aims to make oral cancer biopsies more precise
NCT ID NCT05554133
Summary
This study is testing a new imaging device called the Active Biopsy Guidance System to see if it can help doctors make better decisions about when and where to take tissue samples from suspicious mouth lesions. The device uses special light and a safe dye to highlight abnormal areas. Researchers will enroll 90 adults with various oral lesions to see how accurately the system identifies areas needing biopsy compared to standard methods.
