Researchers test gentler start to opioid addiction medication

Summary
This study is testing a new method to help people with opioid addiction start taking medication treatment. Doctors will carefully trigger mild withdrawal symptoms with small naloxone doses, then immediately give buprenorphine medication to relieve those symptoms. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, tolerable, and practical for patients starting addiction treatment.
