Three-Pronged attack on opioid risks for chronic pain patients

NCT ID NCT06442566

Summary

This study is testing three different treatments to help people who have been taking prescription opioids for chronic pain for a long time. The goal is to see if adding a buprenorphine patch, a type of counseling called cognitive behavioral therapy, or a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can improve pain control, reduce side effects, and lower the risks associated with long-term opioid use. Researchers will follow 240 participants for a year to measure their pain levels, quality of life, and how well they tolerate the new treatments.
