Scoping out weight loss: doctors test Stomach-Burning procedure
NCT ID NCT05574777
Summary
This study is testing the safety and feasibility of a new, non-surgical weight loss technique called Gastric Mucosal Ablation (GMA). It uses a special endoscopic tool to apply energy to the stomach lining, aiming to mimic some effects of weight-loss surgery. The study will enroll 13 adults with severe obesity and follow them for 6 months to check for complications and see if the procedure works.
