Chili pepper extract tested as potential solution for debilitating foot pain

NCT ID NCT05695339

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether an injection derived from chili peppers (resiniferatoxin) can provide lasting relief for people with Morton's neuroma, a painful nerve condition in the foot. The trial will involve 24 adults whose foot pain hasn't improved with standard treatments. Researchers will monitor participants closely for safety and to see if the single injection reduces pain and improves daily function over four weeks.
