Scientists test supercharged immune cells in fight against tough leukemia

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new treatment for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned or not responded to other therapies. Researchers are combining specially trained immune cells, called NK cells, from a family donor with a drug called atezolizumab. The main goal is to find the safest dose, while also checking if this approach can help control the cancer.
