New injection could slash painkiller use after hip surgery
NCT ID NCT07410000
Summary
This study is testing a new type of nerve block injection to see if it can better manage pain after hip replacement surgery. One hundred patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the real nerve block or a placebo injection. The main goal is to see if the new block reduces the need for strong opioid painkillers in the first day after surgery.
