New nerve block aims to slash pain and opioid use after common surgery

NCT ID NCT07187310

Summary

This study is testing a new type of nerve block, called EXORA, to see if it works as well as or better than a common nerve block for managing pain after gallbladder removal surgery. Researchers will compare pain levels and opioid painkiller use in patients who receive one of the two nerve blocks or just standard care. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to control pain and help patients recover faster with fewer side effects.
