Emergency room nausea study tests newer drug against standard treatment

NCT ID NCT06740812

Summary

This study aims to find out if a newer nausea medication called fosaprepitant works better and causes fewer side effects than the commonly used drug metoclopramide. Researchers will enroll 212 adults who come to the emergency room with moderate to severe nausea and vomiting. The trial will compare how well each drug relieves symptoms over 24 hours and track any new side effects that develop.
