Tiny particles supercharge radiation to fight esophageal cancer

NCT ID NCT04615013

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new nanoparticle treatment called NBTXR3 for people with esophageal cancer. The nanoparticles are injected directly into the tumor and are designed to make radiation therapy more effective at killing cancer cells when combined with standard chemotherapy. The main goals are to find the safest and most effective dose and to see how well patients tolerate this new combination approach.
